Baggage Management

01. Checked bag allowance
The capacity of your baggage is determined by its size and weight. Typically, the dimensions for checked baggage range from 62 to 158 cm (24 to 62 inches) in length, width, and height combined, while the weight limit is usually between 15 to 32 kg (44 to 70 lbs).

02. Cabin bag allowance
The cabin bag dimensions are usually smaller, ranging from 36 to 56 cm (14 to 22 inches) in length, 23 to 40 cm (9 to 16 inches) in width, and 18 to 23 cm (7 to 9 inches) in height. The weight limit for a carry-on bag is usually around 7 to 10 kg (15 to 22 lbs).
03. Hang baggage allowance
There is no specifications for hand baggage allowance. It is usually your laptop bag or a handbag that is not too large or bulky. Do not confuse this with your cabin baggage size. Please note that the weight of the luggage is subject to change, basis the airline you are travelling to.

Baggage Rules

01. The number of bags
Depending on your ticket class, destination, and total luggage weight, most airlines let you check in one or two bags. Most airlines only permit one carry-on bag per passenger, along with a personal item like a laptop bag or handbag. Do remember the size of your hand luggage.
02. Prohibited items
Some goods, like guns, explosives, and flammable liquids, are not allowed to be carried aboard aeroplanes. Before you pack, review the airline's list of prohibited items. When you are checking in online, you can also verify the same thing. The things are always listed there by the airlines as well.

03. Special items
There can be extra regulations and costs if you are bringing specific goods on your trip, such athletic gear, musical instruments, or medical equipment. In order to avoid any surprises, confirm with your airline before your trip.

Other Considerations

01. Fees
You could have to pay more if you bring more luggage than your airline allows. Depending on the airline and the excess weight or size of your baggage, these fees may change. Occasionally, it could be less expensive to upgrade your ticket class or purchase an extra bag than it would be to pay the excess baggage costs. Make sure to review the fees on the airline website in advance.
02. Infants
Infants often have a separate baggage allowance, like Air India's 10 kg/22 lb allowance for infants in all classes.
03. Baggage policy when connecting with other airlines ( Code share)
If your itinerary includes flights operated by other airlines, different baggage rules may apply for these flights. Ozonefly strongly urges you to check the baggage rules of each airline you plan to travel with.
